ACS Philosophy

The ACS Community School

Community education is a concept which perceives school buildings and other public facilities as becoming the focus of community activities, a place where local resources can be gathered and made accessible to citizens of the school community. Through cooperation and coordination of existing programs the school and other groups, the community's learning, recreational, and cultural needs may be more effectively met. The Community School provides activities after school and in the evenings for students and adults. Fees are minimal exclusive of materials and books.
