Our Mission
The American Cooperative School, Bolivias most culturally diverse, cutting edge, U.S. accredited college preparatory institution, strives to develop responsible, compassionate global citizens who are lifelong learners, assets to their communities and successful in life through a challenging and engaging broad-based curriculum drawing on local and international content; a safe, nurturing, student-centered environment; and close collaboration among students, parents, and educators.
Our Strategic Objectives
By 2009, each ACS student will develop the skills necessary to become a life-long learner through the process of goal setting and committing to personally challenging goals. Goal setting will be measured by a school-wide score of 100% proficient on the ACS Goal Setting Rubric.
By 2009 100% of ACS high school graduates will complete a post-secondary educational program of their choice within six years.
By 2009, 100% of ACS students will be involved in at least one extra-curricular activity and one community service project each year reflecting our belief in a broad based curriculum.
By 2009 each ACS student will be an effective, articulate communicator in both written and oral form. Written communication will be measured by a school-wide score of 100% proficient (average of 3 on all traits) on the Six Traits Writing Rubric. Oral communication will be measured by a school-wide score of 100% proficient on the ACS Oral Communication Rubric for grades 3 12 and developing for grades KG I 2.
