Career Fair November 29, 2007
The 2007 ACS Career Fair was a huge success. Students from 8 - 12 grade attended and there were 37 presenters from different careers and professions who shared their education, knowledge and experience with our students. The students were able to visit many different booths, asking questions and interacting with the professionals to learn more about various careers. Some of the favorite careers that were represented at the fair were: architecture, engineering, law, medicine, graphic/web design, photography, psychology, dentistry, pediatric occupational therapy, international business, law enforcement, military careers, counseling, teaching, advertising, diplomacy and international relations, financial management, accounting, fashion design, small business ownership, art, and many more. Not only did the students enjoy learning about different professions, many of them discovered careers they had not known existed! We were thrilled and very fortunate to have a special guest speaker: Ambassador Philip Goldberg from the US Embassy. Ambassador Goldberg came and talked to us about living and moving around the world, and about diplomacy and international relations. The wonderful PTA ladies provided goodies for the presenters, and each presenter received a 'Certificate of Appreciation' for their participation in the fair. Each presenter enjoyed the fair and plans to return again next year. Thanks to all the presenters, Mrs. Siegel and the PTA for this great event. Kim Traw
