| The first module that I completed for this semester was Digital Image Animation. For this module you had to become familiar with both Photoshop and Image Ready, but mostly Image Ready as this is where you imported the file from Photoshop so you could get creative with it and animate it. Not only was it difficult for me but I had also forgotten most of the uses of Photoshop before I could even animate. I had to refresh my memory, remember where everything in Photoshop was, and then bravely venture into Image Ready to finish off this project. I worked by myself for this project. I do not remember if that was the recommendation or if I chose that, but either way I usually work best flying solo. Anyways, while there were some preliminary difficulties starting off it eventually became much easier to handle because of the tutorials that I followed along. Some of these tutorials were fun to use, as they didnt require much experience, like the equalizer that I made that was basically making rectangles in different shapes and forms. However, a few of them were pretty stressing like the glowing text. I could never get the color right or the circles with the lights would always turn out bad when you zoomed out of it. Dont get me wrong, though. All the hard work on this project wasnt wasted in vain. I did learn something with this module and ever since then its given me a better understanding of Image Ready. I might not be ready for such crazy animations with moving parts and glowing lights, but at least I know how to make a swirling pool of pink magic (see picture above). |
