The third module I
completed was iMovie
module. This module consists of filming and editing a short movie with
the
program iMovie. I decide to complete this module with Mario because of
several
reasons. The first reason is the fact that I am relatively new using
iMovie,
and Mario owns several Macs and is very good with the program, so he
could
teach me many things. The second reason is that Mario has a band, and I
thought
it would be very interesting and challenging to record and make a music
video.
What I really liked about the iMovie module was the final product.
Sitting
there and watching a movie I made from scratch was worth every ounce of
work.
The only problem we
faced was probably
the worst thing that could have happened to us. Due to the fact that
neither of
us had filmed a music video, we decided to film the actual video and
then
record the song. What happened is that when we uploaded the clips and
joined
them with the music, we realized that some of the clips were too short,
because
the band was playing faster then when they recorded. This problem lead
to our
video having many empty spaces that ended up being periods were the
music kept
playing and the screen was black. Another problem about filming before
recording was that the singer’s lips weren't coordinated with the
music. In
the end, we did our best to make are music video as good as possible.
To sum everything
up, I really enjoyed
creating the music video. I learned how to use iMovie and how I can
make my
homemade videos so much better. I am really psyched to have another
chance to
edit a movie, because I found out that there are so many things you can
do.
Using iMovie, I can add titles, effects, and more audio to a video
clip. The
only bad thing is that iMovie is only for Macs.
