I will be proud and smile about this
experiment not because of the factual results and observations, but only
because it had a positive influence over me and will hopefully have the
same effect on you! The dictionary definition of an experiment
is: “A test under controlled conditions that is made to demonstrate a
known truth, examine the validity of a hypothesis, or determine the
efficacy of something previously untried.” Yet, this word has a deeper
meaning and evidently a huge impact on people and their development.
Experiments, curiosity, questions, and the search for answers form part
of our daily life and determine its route. Thanks to these tests we
gather info, develop research skills, evaluate our thinking, compare to
others, implement and apply the gathered knowledge to solve problems,
and finally come up with additional new complex questions. My experiment
is meant to answer two questions I came up with last year during the
construction of my house. Which combination of construction materials,
including of brick, cement, adobe, tile, and corrugated metal heats the
quickest? Which combination is the most
effective at maintaining this energy? After several changes, problems,
and days of researching and constructing, I began to test and observe my
findings. To continue the journey and fully understand the theme please
explore the rest of this transportation vehicle!
Hop On!
