      I didn't use any information off the internet to make or help me create my experiment. the only information that i got off the internet was, ways to prevent bone breaks, how age has to do with the chances of breaking a bone, and simple ways to prevent bone breaks.

10 Facts

Fact 1: The most common age for people to break a bone is from 6 to 13.

Fact 2: Soda-pop drinkers triple the chance of them getting a bone fracture.

Fact 3: The disease osteoporosis also makes the chance of breaking a bone much higher.

Fact 4: People that have a very active life with sports also increase the chances of breaking a bone.

Fact 5: There are 6 groups of fractures, they are: complete fracture, greenstick fracture, single fracture, comminuted fracture, bending fracture and an open fracture.

Fact 6: A BMD (Bone Mineral Density) test can: measure the density of your bones, detect osteoporosis before a fracture occurs, help to predict your chances of fracturing in the future, and monitor the effectiveness of treatments for osteoporosis.

Fact 7: The chance of you breaking a bone depends not only on the make-up of the bone, but also on the size of it.

Fact 8: Taking estrogen reduces the chance of you breaking a bone by 50% to 60%.

Fact 9: Being tall increases your risk of a hip fracture.

Fact 10: The intake of calcium in your diet gives a lower chance of you breaking a bone.

There are several factors that can result to someone getting a bone fracture. For example, soda-pop drinkers triple the chance of them getting bone fracture; it can also be a disease as osteoporosis, and simply people that have a very active life with sports.

There are groups of fractures, they are: complete fracture, greenstick fracture, single fracture, comminuted fracture, bending fracture and an open fracture. In these groups are many breaks, but these are just the main groups.
