North Carolina diverse background
the diversity between the national
drinks and fruits (etcetera) is immense. North Carolina national
berries are Strawberries and Blueberries because of the income they
have brought over the years and the way they are so widely grown across
North Carolina. North Carolina national drink is milk; it is not the
only state that has milk as its national drink Wisconsin and Virginia
also have milk as their national drink. Also the fact that North
Carolinians consume about 143 million gallons of milk per year makes
milk a good nomination for state drink. North Carolina’s state bird is
the Cardinal this bird was elected nominee for state bird on March 4,
1943. Although none of the North Carolinian teams have nothing to do
with the cardinal that is their bird. North Carolina’s state boat is
the shad boat. This boat was set as state boat in 1987 and was because
it was used by some of the Indians that once lived in North Carolina.
North Carolina’s state dog is the plot hound this dog was given the
privilege of becoming the state dog on August 12, 1989. This dog
was found in the mountains of North Carolina around 1750 and they began
breeding it within the sate therefore it became state dog. North
Carolina’s state fish is the Channel Bass and was done so in 1971,
these fish are usually found on the Tar Heel Costal waters. North
Carolina’s state flower is the dogwood this flower was chosen because
of the abundance there is of it all over the state, from the mountains
to the coast. North Carolina’s state fruit is the Scuppernong Grape
because being the first grape ever cultivated in the United States it
is worthy of its position. North Carolina’s state insect is the honey
bee Because North Carolina makes over 2 million dollars in the state.
North Carolina’s state mammal is the grey Squirrel, because it is very
commonly found in North Carolina. North Carolina’s state reptile is the
Box turtle because it is very useful to the North Carolinian climate it
helps get rid of many insects harmful to the area.
