Alaska was one of the farthest points away from civilization on earth. Alaska was officially part of Russia. The year was 1867 and Alaska was purchased from Russia for $7,200,000, being twice the size of Texas, with 34,000 miles of uncharted rivers. Not until gold was found in 1880 did Americans in number invade this frontier. The history begins in  l 897 when a group of prospectors were caught by the freeze-up in an old Russian post on Norton Sound, which opens to the Bering Sea. Not wanting to winter over, a few men formed a party to cross the Sound and prospect the mouth of the Fish River Golovnin Bay. They found a little gold which stimulated their interest. The next summer they returned to explore the area more thoroughly.  In 1943 Japan invaded the Aleutian Islands, which started the One Thousand Mile War, the first battle fought on American soil since the Civil War. After war, it became an official state, the 49th, in 1958.

Bolivian history was really peaceful, there were not as many wars. Because of that Bolivian history is still being written today. In the past 3 years there has been manifestation of people wanting a civil war. 2 president resignations had been made in the past 2 years. Bolivian history is still to be written  while Alaska's history is still in a definition state, all of the trouble because of the global warming, the world may change forever in while, but this two places are already writing its future.
