is mostly a manufacturing
state, yet it still has a good supply of farms in the southern
part. About three quarters of the land is agriculture. The
growing season in Indiana is 170 days and the rainfall is about 40 in.
(102 cm) every year. With this kind of weater, Indiana grows a
lot of healhty vegetables and fruit. Besides Indianapolis, there are many different cities that have industries. These include Terre Haute, Fort Wayne, and Kokomo, among many others. The biggest manufactures in Indiana are iron and steel, electrical equipment, and food products. All these products are transported by train and truck. |
