In 1959, when Hawaii received statehood tourism greatly expanded as a result of the great publicity attending statehood. The biggest tourism attractions are  the beaches and the volcanoes.  Hawaii's great  beaches make people fall in love with them.  The eight major islands  of Hawaii from east to west are: Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and the great island of Hawaii.
