Louisiana is bordered by Arkansas on the north and the Gulf of Mexico on the south. Mississippi borders Louisiana on the east and Texas borders Louisiana on the west. It covers 51,843 square miles, making it the 31st largest of the 50 states. Its major rivers are Atchafalaya River, Mississippi River, Ouachita River, Red River and Sabine River.  Its major lakes are Calcasieu Lake, Catahoula Lake, Grand Lake, Lake Maurepas,Lake Pontchartrain, Toledo Bend Reservoir and White Lake. Louisiana’s weather is very moderate. The highest temperature in Louisiana was 114°F. The lowest temperature was -16°F. The monthly average temperature is 93.3°F to a low 36.2°F. The capital of Louisiana is Baton Rouge from the french words meaning “Red Post”.The major cities of Louisiana are Ba ton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Metairie, New Orleans and Shreveport. Louisiana’s economy has very much to do with the geography of its own.  The similarities that the geography of Louisiana  and the geography of Bolivia is that they have many major lakes. The differences are that Bolivia does not have access to sea.
