Beginning | Middle | End | Bibliography

Toward the middle the people of this town in California get paranoid and start fleeing the country, and killin and beating for basic needs.  There is still a major war going on with the  humans and the machines and it looks like that anything that the military sends at them it comes back ten times as hard. Doctor Forester who is trying to research these machines is relocated to a safer spot.
