After the spaceships rise up they start attacking the city and destroy only parts which were close to big masses of water. The humans battle against the aliens and see them for the first time on a mountain where the scientists were. They are purple, with one huge eye, no mouth, and three legs. They have to use humans in order to communicate with them, so they have captured a hotel and transmit mental commands to them,to do so. Dr. Forest has talked to General Forester and has convinced him to lead the people to a place far away from water, for that seemed to be the safe zone. When this is done he tells General Forester to get as close to the aliens, but they mysteriously disappear, and have set a trap for humans. They have hidden under ground in a mountain and are preparing a nuclear weapon that the humans do not know about. The other aliens are doing the same all over the world and the bombs are nearly ready to be detonated. Dr. Forest has discovered this and with the help of the remaining army, ma
nages to deactivate the bomb and sends messages to all the other countries to do the same. General Forester had realized that the aliens had attacked only the places near masses of water, so he devises a trap with the help of Dr, Forest. They plan to make the entire state of California stand chest high in the ocean, or in any other water mass and lead the aliens there. The only flaw to this plan was that there had to be at least one decoy, to keep the aliens busy until the people could get in the water. No one wanted to volunteer until Dr. Forest and Miss. Vanburen volunteered to be decoys. They had to devise a way to keep the aliens away long enough for the rest of the plan to be ready, so they decided to walk to their main nest and set off grenades, fireworks, gunpowder and fires. They got to the base and strapped the ammunition to the ships, as well as to the surrounding objects. Before they managed to set off the flammable ammunitions, an alien discovered them and called a ship to kill them. Miss
. Vanburen and Dr.Forest fought the aliens and declared their undying love for each other before death. With the fire works the remains of the nuke bombs caught fire and killed two dozen aliens. They had been successful and the people of California were safe, for the meantime.
