Here is a picture of some of our class at the beginning of the Inca Trail. The Inca Trail has lasted for over 1000 years, and is surrounded by mountains made of igneous rock form a volcano that erupted some 1000 years ago. Our hike was over three hours, and afterwards, we stopped to eat at a picnic set up for us at the very end of our "adventure."
