Once the home of the mighty and
fretted Vikings, the kingdom or monarchy of Denmark is not a very well
known country. Nevertheless, this nation has become very prosperous, is
extremely beautiful, and is one of the richest countries in the world.
Hans Christian Andersen, a worldwide known author (wrote “The Little
Mermaid”, “The Ugly Duckling”, and several other fairy tales), is one
of Denmark’s many prides. This year, in 2005, the entire country and
many of his admirers of our globe celebrated this author’s 200th birthday with parades, plays, and so on. Denmark is probably considered one of the most calm and least corrupt countries on Earth, and therefore is very peaceful to live in.
