Liberty, Equality and Justice
are related at the level of Law. A democratic society sets the rights
to have liberty of expression, liberty to political participation
through association and vote. Political Liberty comes with formal
equality: every citizen is equal before the Law. It means that everyone
has the same rights and duties independent of race, gender, class,
religion or sexual orientation. Justice, as the right to a fair and
just trial, complements liberty and equality as the main rights in
democratic societies.
