This picture shows that the people on the island threw away cans that could have been recycled. The sixth grade project will help this issue by providing recycling bins and trash cans for the island. This way the trash will not take away from the beauty of the island.
Many people on the island use plastic bags, plastic bottles and plastic wrappers which can be recycled. However, all this is being just tossed away. This is another reason why sixth grade chose this project.
