Introduction | What They Are | Passengers | Construction of the Boats
Crillon Tours owns seven hydrofoils on Lake Titicaca, all of which are known as "arrows". Hydrofoils are boats that are designed to move quickly and skim over the water. They run on diesel and skis on  bottom allow them to, when  they go fast enough, "fly' on the surface of the water. The arrow that we used was the Bolivia Arrow, the second-largest of the hydrofoils with a capacity of about 40. The largest is the Sun Arrow, which has a capacity of 60 people while the smallest is the Glasnost Arrow with a capacity of about 4 people. I think hydrofoils are very useful things.
