Have you ever wondered what had happened in another time and place before you?  Have you ever thought yourself living in a past life?  Now there are books to tell you about the mysterious past that binds us.  It would be neat if we are able to go back into time and see with our own eyes what is that really happened.  There are so many places, ancient places, that are really important in the history of humankind.  One of these places is Egypt.

Egypt is full of mysteries about its obscure past.  Have you ever wondered how this big civilization perished?  Have you ever thought, why can't these people continue to exist?  There are no sources that tell us exactly what happened on a typical day in Egypt.  All we rely on is written sources that this civilization has left for us to discover ourselves.  These written sources only tell about the most important happenings in Egypt, and not the everyday life.  We aren't talking about times where you, me, your parents, or your great grandparents still live.  We are talking about a life thousands of years before us.  We can't see and say what exactly happened like we can now.  The written sources tell us about the line of dynasties that lead Egypt.  It would be cool if these people lived forever and tell us their stories of the hidden past.

There is a ruler that embarks in my heart.  I'm talking about Hatshepsut.  She was the first woman ruler.  She ruled the 18th dynasty.  Being only a woman, she accomplished more than the rulers before her had.  She proved herself worthy of being able to lead Egypt to the top.  She made justice.  All her monuments are the marvels of her time.  Note that she did not build a pyramid like the rest of the Pharaohs.  She built a temple.  She also built two obelisks of red granite, which are famous till the day of now.  Among these, many were destroyed.  No one know who, why, or how.  See?  That is what I mean when I say, 'mysterious past.'  Some think that her nephew, with all the fury that he felt towards her aunt, he destroyed them himself.

There are also other people that are important in the Egyptian social pyramid.  Not only Pharaohs, but there are also scribes, but I'm not talking about scribes.  I'm talking about Doctors.  They begin heir training at a very young age and work hard for decades.  After all these hard years of learning the art of medicine, they grow up to become prestigious people.  Their training was just they key to their future.  Being doctors, they cured people that have an important role in Egypt, its lifeline.  Without these people, Egypt would become ruins before we know it.
