| Imagine
walking into a room where a mummy greets you. Then, a secondary
teacher calls a guide and you guide begins to lead you around from
place to place, explaining every table you pass. This room was a
very strange looking room. It was decorated with strange
decorations. This room was not like any other. It was not
what one sees daily in life. In fact, this room is
Egyptian! Your guide smiles at you and launches into an
explanation about the Nile River. The only reason that this fair exists is because of our social studies class. When we began studying Ancient Egypt, you know, pyramids and pharaohs and mummies and all that stuff, it was the basics: notes, discussions and other activities. But no, it became more than that when we came up with this idea to make an expo of all our work with Egypt. So for weeks we worked hard with our projects. Then, on opening night, we presented it to school kids and parents through our presentations. And now, as our special guest, we are taking you on a virtual tour of Egypt. So . . .welcome and come on in! © 2007 Allie and Jackie
