| Gross!!!!! How could people be
happy on such a sad day? Who would like to be dissected like a frog?
Although the dissecting part was gross, we learned a lot and had fun
doing it. In the process we did almost exactly what Egyptians would
have done to human bodies. Egyptians did not dissect their kings and
queens, but they were mummified. The sixth graders who were in
different groups did take out the organs of the frogs. When we dissected our frogs, we were able to see how the Egyptians took out the organs of their people. After dissecting the frogs, we put the frogs in salt like the Egyptians did to dry their bodies. When we returned from Christmas vacation, we wrapped the frogs in gauzes and put them in sarcophaguses (a stone coffin). We buried our frogs two feet under the ground |
