Frog Mummification : Parent Comments : Our Reflections : Bibliography
There were maps, charts, and graphs.  Of course.  To make our project look good, we had to do a lot of work in science and social studies.  Most of the social studies works were written, even though once we made papier-mâché cats Most of that was fun, because you needed lots of imagination to write some of the wild ideas we thought to write.  But probably the best of both science and social studies was mummifying the frog in science.

Mrs. Trefts, our science teacher, arranged for us to mummify the frogs the way the Egyptians did.  That part was fun. The not so fun part about it was digging the holes to bury the frogs in, but in the end it was fun, and we even wrote poems to our poor (dead) frogs.  And best of all, everyone who attended the presentation learned something new.
