The Odyssey Animation Tech Requirements 2004 - 2005 Mr. Dierkes

I File and Folder Naming
01 ___Folders, pages, and images are structured as shown in the "web_all_odys_rdierkes" image below.
02 ___Folder, html, psd and gif file names use lower case, no spaces, and no symbols except underscore.
03 ___Your animated image has a .gif extension and your web page has an .html extension.
04 ___Your web page file name reflects your story section (e.g. "the_cyclops.html").
05 ___Your web page page name represents a good title according to your story part.

II File Management & Organization
06___All downloaded images, psd's, and the animated gif image are saved in the proper folders.
07___There are no extra files in the "web_all_ odys _rdierkes" folder.
08___The biggest image file size for each of your three final animated gif's is 70 kilobytes.
09___ Color and resolution quality of your final gif is good.

III Web Page Structure
10___Your web page uses one invisible html table to organize content.
11___ The html table has three rows and one column.
12___ The html table width is 640 pixels and centered on each page.
13___ HTML table organization: 1st row - gif image, 2nd row - empty (for links by Mr. Dierkes), 3rd row - your story text.
14___On the web page, there is one animated gif (Make sure it shows up!)

IV Animated Image Structure
15___The image measures 640 by 300 pixels with a 72 px/in resolution on a white background.
16___There are between 5 to 30 animation frames in the psd.

V Animated Image & Story Purpose
17___Your gif animates, communicates your creative goal, and illustrates to your story part.
18___Your writing is clear, concise, sounds like you wrote it and communicates your story part.
19___Your writing is in the past tense, mostly third-person.

20___All images on your web page are created entirely by you and/or from clipart.com.
